Scion Owner Spotlight> Sel's xB

Scion Owner sellysel73, or Selvyn, knew he wanted to create a luxury VIP-styled car from the beginning. Deciding that the Lexus was a bit expensive, he opted for the 2008 Scion xB instead. Notice the sweet Scion Owner's badge he's rockin' on the rear window!

"I've been in the tuner scene since '95 and I've seen a lot of changes. In the beginning I wanted to make the XB a Time Attack car. Because of the horsepower, it never qualified. I almost bought the TRD supercharger, then they stopped making it. I was very close to making the car  a turbo, but with gas prices, I didn't want to deal with using premium gas only. I've done a lot of animated themes such as Dragon Ball, and Transformers. The last couple years, I've really been into the VIP scene. I might go woody/VIP next year, just to be unique." 

Selvyn has done some of the work himself, but there are also plenty of shops around his home in the Los Angeles area. The sound system was installed by Al & Ed's Autosound, bodywork by Bastoli Auto Body, and suspension done by Pacific Motor Sports.

As Selvyn's xB is his daily driver, he wants to make sure modifications are functional for everyday use – but fun enough to keep up with his club, Team Showcase.

Some of the favorite events he's attended: Scion United and Knott's Scary Farm Scion Night. It seems that everyone has fond memories of Scion United – maybe we should do that one again!
