Battle of the Builds: Military xB Custom Builds

This weekend as we remember the sacrifice and service of our military, we thought it was a perfect time to revisit these military-built Scions. These are the three finalists of the "Battle of the Builds" competition, for which Scion commissioned active military to submit designs for xB builds.

Choosing three design finalists, the teams were given an xB to modify along with a $15,000 budget. Team Kaiheitai from the Marines designed this tactical-themed FWD Assault xB.

Army-based Team Sapper built a more recreation-themed R&R xB with rear convertible top and kicking sound system.

The winners of the competition was Team Salty Dog from the Navy. Their squid-covered nautical xB almost looks like a submarine! The build crew flew out to Las Vegas to attend the SEMA show where their vehicle was on display and collect their prize money.

The Battle of the Builds was a great opportunity to see all the creativity and ingenuity that comes out of our military.
